Dianne L. Zwicke, MD, FACC, FACP, FCCP

Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine

Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine.

Cardiology Sub-Specialty Areas of Interest: Pulmonary Hypertension, High Risk Cardiac O.B., Congestive Heart Failure, Heart/Lung Transplant.

A prominent Wisconsin native and graduate of Milwaukee's Marquette University, Dr. Zwicke earned her master’s degree in renal physiology at the University of North Carolina Medical School – Chapel Hill and completed a 4-year medical degree there in 3 years. She was awarded the medical school’s highest honor for accomplishments in advanced research. Returning to Wisconsin, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield Clinic’s St. Joseph Hospital site and was Chief Resident there. In 1985, she began her cardiovascular disease fellowship in Milwaukee at Aurora Sinai Medical Center, the University of Wisconsin Medical School’s Clinical campus. At the end of this fellowship in 1987, Dr. Zwicke accepted a faculty position.

She sits on the Transplant Advisory Committee of St. Luke's Medical Center, the Scientific Advisory Board of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Affiliate of the American Heart Association, is Medical Director for the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic at Aurora Sinai and is cardiology consultant and advisor to many local health insurance providers.

Dr. Zwicke speaks extensively locally, nationally, and internationally on a variety of topics and has been interviewed frequently by the news media. She has been profiled in Who's Who directories throughout her career. She has published 15 articles and 11 abstracts in the professional referred literature.

She has participated in numerous international and local clinical trials and ongoing research. Dr. Zwicke is also a member of the International Society for Adult Congenital Heart Disease.
